These are the official Honda factory workshop manuals — the same documentation dealership technicians used — now working in any modern browser.

Note: Torque specifications and fluid capacities are for standard factory-condition vehicles. Modified vehicles or worn components may require different values. When in doubt, consult Honda or a specialist.

How to Use This Manual

Pick your car — use the Year and Code dropdowns on the left. The code is your specific model (e.g. CL7 = 2.0 i-VTEC Saloon, CM2 = 2.2 i-CDTi Tourer). If you're not sure, it's on your V5/logbook next to "Type".
Choose Shop Manual or Body Repair — Shop Manual covers everything mechanical and electrical (engine, gearbox, brakes, suspension, wiring, etc). Body Repair covers panel removal, structural dimensions, and bodywork procedures.
Browse or search — expand the system/component tree to find what you need, or type a keyword like "timing chain", "brake pad", or "alternator" into the search box and press Enter. Tick DTC only to filter results to diagnostic trouble codes.
Click a result — the full procedure loads in this area, with step-by-step instructions, diagrams, torque specs, and wiring schematics.
Zoom into diagrams — click the magnifying glass icon on any wiring diagram or exploded view to open a full-size zoomable version in a new window.

Features

Six themes: Click the theme button at the top centre of the header to cycle through: Modern, Classic, Sakura, Mint, Wildfire, and Aurora. Dark themes include dark content pages for garage use. Your choice is remembered between sessions.

Bookmarks — Click the ☆ star button in the content bar to save any page. Your bookmarks appear in the sidebar and persist between sessions. Shortcut: Ctrl+B

Back / Forward / Home — The ◀ ▶ buttons in the content bar navigate your browsing history. The ⌂ button returns you to this welcome page at any time. Shortcuts: Alt+← Alt+→

Recently Viewed — The sidebar keeps track of your last 20 pages automatically. Expand the "Recently Viewed" section to jump back to something you were looking at earlier.

DTC Lookup — Tick the "DTC only" checkbox below the search box to filter results to diagnostic trouble code procedures. Type a code like "P0420" or "B1175" to go straight to the troubleshooting page for that fault.

Shareable Links — When you open a page, the URL in your browser's address bar updates with a direct link to that exact procedure. You can bookmark it in your browser or share it on a forum — anyone with the ESM can open it and land on the same page.

Honda Glossary — Not sure what MICU, VSA, or i-DTEC means? Expand the "Honda Glossary" section at the bottom of the sidebar for plain-English definitions of every Honda acronym used in the manual.

Service Interval Dashboard — Click the "Service" button in the content bar to open an interactive maintenance tracker. Enter your mileage and car age to see which services are overdue, due soon, or OK. Based on Honda's official Normal Conditions schedule with all intervals, fluid types, and notes.

Trim Level Guide — Click "Trims" in the content bar to see what equipment came standard on each trim level (SE, Executive, Type-S, etc.) for both the MK7 and MK8. Each trim card shows standard features with checkmarks, items not included, and optional extras. Useful for working out what your car should have, or what's been added/removed by previous owners.

Keyboard shortcuts: / focus search, Esc clear search, Ctrl+B bookmark, Alt+← back, Alt+→ forward.

Wire Colour Decoder — Click "Wires" in the content bar to toggle a floating panel showing all 19 Honda wire colour abbreviations with real colour swatches. Covers BLK, WHT, RED, GRN, BLU, YEL, BRN, ORG, PNK, PUR, GRY, LT GRN, LT BLU, SKY, CRM, TAN, MAR, VIO, and SIL. Also explains Honda's striped wire notation (YEL/GRN = yellow base, green stripe).

What's Changed vs. the Originals

Fix The originals only worked in Internet Explorer, which Microsoft shut down in 2023. Now works in Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari — any browser, any operating system, including phones and tablets.
Fix The browser-check that would force-close the window if you weren't running IE has been removed.
Fix Wiring diagram zoom (the magnifying glass) now works properly — the originals used Internet Explorer–only technologies that broke years ago.
Fix Cross-references between pages (e.g. "see Section 12-B") now work correctly instead of throwing errors.
New Both generations (Mk7 and Mk8) are combined into one program. Just change the year and the correct manual loads.
